Hi,

just doing some research. What graded exams (if any) do you use with school pupils (ages 6- 18). In the UK we are hide bound by the Associated Board, with other Music Colleges increasing Market Share (Trinity, London etc).

Is this purely an english phenomenon or is there a comparable system in place elsewhere??

Let me know what you think?

In the US we really don't have graded exams like what you have in the UK. I know in The Netherlands there is a similar program to what you use, but I don't know all the details.

I guess, too, I should clarify a bit--some states, e.g. Texas and New York, among others, have very carefully graded lists for state solo contests and such, but there is no country wide system.

It might be quite interesting if we did.
