Brass Band Transposition?

To play an British Brass Band Eb treble clef tuba part on a tuba NOT in Eb would I play it as if it were in bass clef and add 3 flats to the key signature? I think this is correct, I am just not 100% sure.

Thanks for your help

Randy

Especially watch out for reminder or courtesy accidentals!

Shouldn't they be called "intentionals"?

if you are playing british brass band music, there will be a Bb tuba part in transposed treble clef, if you ever played Bb trumpet it will be no problem

Thanks Peter. I have been assigned the Eb part. I am pretty comfortable with the transposition as I have done this with alto sax and bari sax parts for years. Thanks again.
