My "old reliable" would have to be my Helleberg. I also really like my PT-83 but I don't know if that will be great on every horn. It sure sounds great on my old Conn 20J.

Conn Helleberg or Kellyberg, although I would probably bring along my Bach 18 if I were trying a bunch of horns.

It used to be the Schilke Helleberg II, but now I am using the G&W Bayamo on the CC and the Bora on the F.

For me, the Conn Helleberg. Some years ago it was the Bach 18. Both are good all-around mouthpieces.

I have a Bach 18 in my pick-up truck for trying tubas and as a spare(good since I live about 2 1/2 miles from the Baltimore Brass Company). I think that a good middle of the road mouthpiece gives the best and most accurate first impression of what a tuba can do.
