A search of tubenet brought forth this four-year-old post:

First Note Music, also in Ft. Myers, has cleaned my horns in the past and they're very good and reasonably priced. Good luck!

A friend bought a tuba from these guys and said they were good people - they may be able to help you find a TUBA repair person.

The closest tuba player/repair tech that I know of to Tampa is Bob Tucker in Ocoee (Orlando area), which is a bit closer to Tampa than Ft. Myers, if I remember correctly. I think his business is called Major/minor Projects, LLC. He also happens to play in the Brass Band of Central Florida.

I hope this helps,

I don't think the folks I left for you to call actually repair them - just thought they may know of someone is all.

Wish I could go this year - we are rebuliding the program so maybe nexy year I will have someone make a band. The district won't pay for me to go unless I have a student in it - things are getting BAD here!

I know that I am reviving a few year old post here, but does anyone know if Bob Tucker is still in the Ocoee FL area? Have a 6/4 Martin that the previous owner had fall out of a tuba stand and damaged the recording bell. Also would like to have the valves aligned and a general tuneup.

A google search for his name/business came up with a number that is disconnected. If anyone has a number please PM me.

Thanks!
