Does anyone have students or personal experience using the neotech straps or harnesses with really young players? I have a 11 year old student who loves playing in marching band, but has a lot of trouble supporting her euphonium. I'd suggest most of these straps, but she's so small I'm worried it'll be too long or slide off her shoulders and things like that... (my MW tuba harness was hilarious on her).

Also, if you've got cheap DIY straps that have worked, that'd be awesome too.

I have "cheated" several times and used a laptop bag strap hooked the braces beside the tuning slide as a strap. It works ok but is by no means a long term solution as the horn is generally out of balance in this position.

A Neotech harness works fine, but it might need to be shortened. (ie. the ends of the black straps can be unsewn, cut and then re-sewn at their shortened lengths)

Someone I know (who is vertically challenged) uses the ergobrass on euphonium and loves. It costs $200 or so.

I used to know a euph player who used a saxophone strap. Sorry, but I can't remember which part of the instrument he attached it to.
