please tell me your experience about intonation and quality of an Alexander B-Tuba 164, called "Kaisertuba".

I have a 164 C, and the intonation is good once learned. I have not played the Bb. I would recommend contacting James Green "Russiantuba" - he has said very nice things about a 164 Bb he had played before.

I only saw a couple of 164s ever. Here's a pic of one in BBb. Enormous tuba, not for a lanky fellow like me. That's a 2 step 5th rotor.
