Another Chinese Stencil question??

Let me first say I already own a stencil Tuba i bought it as my back up Tuba I like it, it does everything I need it to do. i am going to purchase a new 3 + 1 valve Euphonium soon. I am curious to why the price on ones for sale range from $400 -$1200. Wherther its the Jin-Boa , E.F. Durand, Schiller, Tuba Exchange, JZ or even the Mack brand they all pretty much come from Jin-Boa (correct me if I am wrong and i could be). What makes the price difference, is it just the engraving or are the Engraved horns a higher quality horn that the seller has requested and aquired from Jin-Boa or where ever they come from?

Thanks

Ahhhhhh your right. I totally omitted the compenstaing and non compensating factor with the price. It all makes sence now.

Check the spit valves on the instruments you are looking at. The Jinbao and Shiller I own have three spit valves. The are both from JinBao and play well as described. I've checked hard and have seen prices from $800 up on Jinbaos. I've seen as low as $400 for similar instruments but I have no idea on quality, other than my friend who bought a bass trombone for $400 at the same place with the $400 dollar euph. She likes it.
