Has anyone here had experience using a DPA 4099-T live with a tuba? Descriptions say it's optimized for trumpet, but I was wondering how it'd sound with tuba. Maybe the one made for cello would be better?

4099 is better than the cello mic due to the different spl.

Try not to shove it in the bell, but get it farther away to get the full resonate sound.
