I've been doing some reading and studying on the Goldman Band. By chance, did any of you have the opportunity to play in the Goldman Band or the Goldman Memorial Band?

Subbed once about a thousand years ago. Does that count?

Sure why not. By chance, was it under the direction of one of the Goldman's?

Nah; Ainslee Cox was conducting. The Goldmans stopped being involved about 1980.
PS: I was exaggerating about "a thousand years ago".

I figured, but we know there are a few guys & gals out there that have been around that long

I'm sure it was still a great experience. It's really a shame that the band no longer exists, but such is life I suppose.

I'll be kind and say it wasn't the legendary experience I'd expected. Plain ol' trust fund (aka: "green sheet") gig.

Almost a thousand years.
