Miraphone 1292 vs 1293

I started to put this in the For Sale section, but I think right now I'm looking for advice more than anything...
I'm just starting to kick around the idea of trying to purchase a Miraphone 1293 tuba. I used to have a 1292, but sold it (biggest mistake of my life) because my playing needs had changed and I was going to need an Eb. Long story short, I sold it and then not long after I left the group where I was playing Eb. I was able to trade the Eb and get a CC again, but it just isn't giving me what I want. I'm interested in the 1293 because I'm looking for something with more kick in the low range and a greater volume potential overall.
One of the concerns I have about the 1293 is the taper of the bell flare. I liked the funnel shape of the 1292 because I felt like it gave me great projection. I'm currently playing a B&S PT-20P, but the shape of the bell is more narrow with a sudden, wide flare at the opening. I've been told that I was able to produce a lot more power on my old 1292 by a few of the local guys whose opinions I respect a great deal. Their opinion is that the sudden wide flare of the PT-20 produces a big sound right at the opening of the bell, but that the less-drastic opening of the 1292 allowed the horn to project a lot more and really fill a room. Can anyone comment to the shape of the 1293 bell? Is it more like the 1292 bell shape, just finishing in a larger diameter, or is it more similiar to my PT-20 which stays more narrow until the end of the flare where it widens abruptly?
Lastly, I'm wondering if anyone owns one of these in the Ohio area that I might be able to come out and test play. I may buy one of these down the road, but I want to make sure it's the right horn before I order one. There aren't any vendors around me who have one of these in stock. Thanks for any help/advice you may have. If you have one of these 1293s that I could get my hands on for a test play, just PM me. Thanks!
