hey tubagrandad... thanks for the link... and it is awesome to see the steps mouthpieces are taking
however, you make it sound like there is a HUGE price gap between the g-w and this company... do remember the prices from that company are in euros, and the u.s. dollar quite frankly sucks right now... so they are almost the same after shipping...or pretty darn close.

Having just tried the titanium version of GW's Caver (which i bought the stainless steel model) I must say they are really quite unique. It was difficuly in the exhibit room to get a real feel for the mouthpiece but going by what i did see, spending $375 (I think that was their price) on a mouthpiece that will be around long after I am gone might be kind of neat. The response and feel were very nice...I especially liked the feel of control the titanium offered. For people who spend that much on a Monette I dont see how this would be any different...except that the titanium is insanely light. It has the look of a heavyweight, but weighs less than a standard ....pretty weird

Yes, it was quite difficult to get a feel inside the exhibit room -- that's why I went outside.
(yes, I was "that guy".. lol)

I figured that people would wonder what I was doing,

but I needed to get out there anyway.
When I saw your post about mouthpieces for sale, and
before I saw you say something about buying a G&W, I thought, "Oh, looks like somebody bought a G&W at the conference..." Hehe..

I dont blame you...two years ago when i bought my F I talked matt at dillons into letting me go into one of the back rooms with Kyle Turner(my teacher) to try it out....it gets WAYYYY tooo loud in there to hear yourself....unless of course you want to play Mahler, Wagner, Holst, etc..etc..etc...etc.... then you can join in to the Live Excerpt reading session......at least that is what i think it is.
The G&W mpc is great..... no more gold plating for me..... Just a little polish and it is as good as new (although I have ben too careful with it to even leave a finger print)
