Just looking for new ideas. F or CC. Something around the difficulty of the VW or Gregson - not EncountersII, and that the average audience can appreciate.
Thanks for your suggestions!!

Though I'd pay good money to see that!! How about the first movement of the Broughton Sonata (Concerto)? It's a crowd pleaser as well.

I second the Koncert by Lebedev if you haven't done that one already.

The Lebedev I find is a lot of fun on bass trombone. Hmmmm. . . Perhaps fun is not the word. One of those pieces that lends itself to the instrument. I am a better tuba player than bass trombonist, and to me, it sounds better on bass trombone.

Rodney Newton's Capriccio would fit the parameters of your request nicely,

Good Luck

Did the Lebedev and I would definetely suggest it if you haven't done it all ready. On the subject of whether it sounds better on bass trombone or tuba, I say both. Each instrument has a unique thing to bring to the piece. It is not an instrument specific work in my opinion.
