Sousaphone Repair Question

Post by greatk82 »

I am borrowing a sousaphone from a friend. The horn hasn't been used in some time, as the last guy to have it dropped a bike on and broke the receiver where the neck is inserted. Are there are any quick fixes to reattach this piece(as picture below)? If not, am I looking at a costly repair? Thanks for your help on a vague question. Also, just to clarify before I get spammed...Missouri: This is NOT a Chinese horn.
Thanks

Just solder it back on then. Anyone with a torch, solder, flux, and a little 'solder-savvy' should be able to take care of it.

Kiltie was probably seeing the point of the brace socket... making him thing something was broken.
