Quintet Tuba question resurrected

Sorry fellow Tuba players, but I am still not clear on what is the best tuba for a combination of Quintet and all-around playing. Am I correct that aside from personal preference, E-Flat tubas might be the best for this, or is a BBb okay?
Thanks in advance!!

A 4/4 contrabass tuba, either BBb or CC. You could also use a large Eb.

I like having a decent sized bass tuba (I like Eb for the combination of pop and body) and a bass trombone to use; though if I did a whole lot of/only quintet playing I might like a small contrabass as well.

In one quintet, I use a 980 Eb bass for most of the work; though I double on Bass trombone and Contra with them.
In another, they practically demand I use a Miraphone 184 CC. The liked it even better when I used a 4/4 CC, but I'm not too happy about using that except for outdoor concerts.
If I'm showing up and I don't know what to expect? 90% of the time I show up with my 980 Eb.
