Hirs CC TUBA HBS 290

Post by BarryHoffmann »

Hello,
I am quite new here, offering you some pics of my Hirs CC TUBA HBS 290. 4 + 1 valves, no triggers for 1st.
From '86.
Played tuba in my youth, but I take follow more intense lessons for four years now .
Bought this one from a former soloist in the Flanders Philharmonic Orchestra (Flanders, Belgium).
It's in good shape, and had a big cleaning and review.
Like many Hirs's, he neet quite some manipulaition in the lower register (from the lower A, Ab, G and so on...).
I still have to learn to "know" him. Its indeed all about making sound, not "feeling" or "musical" feeling.
