I met her at a tech session many years ago - learned more about how to really play a bass line in under 2 hours that I ever learned in school or on the job!

I listened to her and had one of her books, too - a significant part of my bass education. My eldest daughter plays string- and electric bass, and now is the owner of the Carol Kaye book, as well as my old Simandl Method, the Rufus Reid books, the Ron Carter Bass Lines book, etc.
