Here's a question for all you repair gurus:
I've looking for a safe and effective cleaner that I can use to clean out my tuba slides and valves. What do you folks recommend?

It depends on what you are looking to clean. For regular cleaning I use a mild dishwashing detergent and cleaning snakes designed for tubas, or brushes like the BrassSaver kit. If you are talking about scale deposits, dilute white vinegar will work, but make sure to rinse it out thoroughly, or bring it to a pro for a chem clean.
