USC and UCLA for composition

Postby W » Tue Apr 13, 2004 1:40 pm

Anyone have friends or people they know in the composition department for these schools that I can email and inquire about? I'm interested in doing my master in composition at one of these schools (or others) and would like know about the department a little more before applying. thanks.

Find James Woodward

Postby staylor » Tue Apr 13, 2004 9:28 pm

Last I heard, James Woodward was still at USC majoring in composition. He is the former euphonium student of Alan Baer that wrote the Woodward Tuba Concerto. Call the USC School of Music and ask for the Winds and Percussion/Composition office. They should be able to get you in touch with James if he is still there. He is a very nice guy and would be more than happy to help you.

Good Luck,
Shaun
