Hello, fellow Tubists.

I've just purchased a Miraphone 1291 BBb and was wondering what hard cases are recommended for it. It's a five valve (4 Piston, 1 Rotary). PM me or comment suggestions, please!

I use a Unitec travel case. I've put 5" wheels on the bell end. Heavy but quite protective.

The MTS model 1207 will fit that horn perfectly.

The SKB385W can work too, but stock from the box, it is a little tight for '91 tubas. You can carve out about 1" of foam in the bottom bow area to make it work. Also be aware of the piece of foam in the lid, which may need some sculpting to fit around the main slide. An hour with a knife, scissors and some spray glue and you've got it. It's a pain, but the lifetime guarantee and replaceable latches, handles and wheels are nice perks. The MTS is ready to go though, so its PITA quotient is lower. I sell the SKB because I can pick them up across town.

I think WWBW offers free shipping on the 1207. They nearly lose money on it, so buy it there.
