Trying to get organized...

Ok now that I have my horn, I must figure out how to tote all my extra junk valve oil, slide oil, mouthpieces, music etc... I'm think I might use an old laptop bag with external pouches. But wouldn't mind something that attaches to the case either externally or internally as long as there isn't a chance of dinging the tuba..
I have enough bags to equip a small army so I'm sure I have something that will work just didn't want to look like a gypsy everywhere I go.

Jerry, I have to admit that the cheaply made Chinese clone cases are very sturdy & lightweight & being
heavy cloth covered, they have a small zippered pouch for accessories & a larger one for music folders.
My Pro-Tec gig bag that I have for my King 2341 also has the same zippered pouches so if you bring your horn,
you bring all the other stuff with you

Here's about the cheapest I know of that will fit a 3' tall tuba with a 19" bell.
Call up Stan Kolb (phone number is web address) and ask if he can check and see if a new-style 2341 will squeeze in there...
He'll check it out for you and report back.

Ill do that, guess I should have elaborated, I just have several music books, 1 valve oil, 1 slide oil, 2 mouthpieces and a tuner I can take the mouthpieces out of the cases and everything but the books fit in the hard case with my tuba.
So I figured since I needed something for the books I'd look for a solution for all and not cram my case full.

I have to agree with Joe on this! Tuning slide grease is something you put on at home & you
shouldn't need it again for many months. These are the items that I ALWAYS keep keep in
my tuba case/gig bag:
1. spare mouthpiece (in case I forget my main one)
2. valve oil
3. cleaning cloth
4. clothespins (for outdoor gigs)
5. spare AA batteries for my stand light (if I remember to bring my stand light

)
6. toothbrush
So if I remember to bring my horn, I automatically get all the above mentioned items.
