I was on my computer the other day and was listening to my Arnold Jacobs Portrait of an Artist album, and I came across the King Heinrich's Call from Lohengrin. I was fascinated by this excerpt. I immediately consulted my part to Lohengrin, with no avail. My question is, is this excerpt a tuba excerpt that I missed, or did Jake just take a trumpet or vocal cue and play it as a duet with a bass trombone? I would consult the CD booklet, but it's at my house with the physical CD--I'm at college now. Thank you.

purely out of idle curiosity, I googled this.
I got a bundle of hits on the Arnold Jacobs recording, but I also got a few hits on an arrangement of
"the aria King Heinrich's Call arranged by Col. John R Bourgeois of the President's own"

I sang Heinrich in Krefeld, Germany during the seasons 1977-79. It's a beastly difficult role to sing. Had I not been so occupied with singing it, I might have enjoyed the brass a lot more!
