I'm playing a new Caver on my 188. Best mouthpiece I've ever used, and I've tried a bunch.
I'd be curious to learn about Ivan's accoustical studies.

Nice for posting this, cause i am in doubt between GW Bayamo and LM 7. I already purchased the LM 7 and it's great, pretty much heavyweight. I was playing Conn Helleberg and i can say there is a huge difference between these two. The LM gives very warm, still, powerful sound and i like it more than the Helleberg. But i heard sooo many people saying good things about GW that i am thinking about getting one just for curiosity.

I have an older heavy-weight G&W Bayamo that I have had for many years. I use it on my smaller tubas like my York-Master (well, maybe not so small a tuba) and Conn 38K and I like the sound it makes with those horns. But it was just too dark for use with my Holton 345, so I got a newer light-weight G&W Carver to use with the Holton and I like it a lot.
