While I "Haven't yet" spent the money on the titanium version I have to second everything you said about the playing charecteristics of the Caver. I have never felt so comfortable on a mouthpiece. And the service Ivan gives is second to none. Watching him take time at this past USABTEC to talk with anyone and everyone who wanted to know about these great mouthpieces was astounding. I thank them too for producing a fine product, and knowing how to treat their customers.

The first Giddings & Webster mouthpiece I tried was a titanium Caver owned by Chris Tiedeman from the Marine Band. He shouldn't have let me try it, because I ended up dropping cash on a titanium Bayamo by the end of the Army conference.

I let the other guys try it the next week, and one of them immediately chose to have a stainless version (mainly since it's cheaper) overnighted. Ivan was able to pull it off and get it sent, and he's really enjoying using it on tour. This is a guy that hasn't been very excited about mouthpieces at all, either.

They've got a good thing going on at G&W.
