Watchband/clasp to protect instrument

Post by Glaucon »

Hello all,

I haven't worn a watch for many years, but am now contemplating it. Is there a type of band and/or clasp that will keep me from scratching up my horn?

Thanks for the help/collective wisdom.

Would moving your watch to the other wrist help? I know of a couple of euphers who do that.

Every time I play I wear a watch with a velcro band. It does not have a clasp at all.

Man, I always thought it was just me that had this problem. I always take my watch off before I play and keep it in my case. Such a hassle!!

I'm interested to see what people have to say on this matter.

For me if I am wearing shirt sleeves I hang my watch on one of the music stands knobs that way I can still tell the time and wont forget to put it back on after playing.
Cant carry a tune but I can carry a tuba.

No one "needs" to wear a watch anymore.

My guess is that...
- it's expensive
- it has it's own matching band.

I really don't think - if someone has an expensive watch - they would want to do this with it...

As I was walking down the street one day
A man came up to me and asked me what the time was that was
on my watch, yeah
And I said
Does anybody really know what time it is
I don't
Does anybody really care
care
If so I can't imagine why
about time
We've all got time enough to cry
Oh no, no
And I was walking down the street one day
A pretty lady looked at me and said her diamond watch had
stopped cold dead
And I said
Does anybody really know what time it is
I don't
Does anybody really care
care
If so I can't imagine why
about time
We've all got time enough to cry
Oh no, no
And I was walking down the street one day
Being pushed and shoved by people trying to beat the clock,
oh, so I just don't know,
I just don't know
And I said, yes I said
Background Vocal:
People runnin' everywhere
Don't know the way to go
Don't know where I am
Can't see past the next step
Don't have to think past the last mile
Have no time to look around
Just run around, run around and think why
Does anybody really know what time it is
I don't
Does anybody really care
care
If so I can't imagine why
about time
We've all got time enough to die
Oh no, no
