Yamaha YBB-103 thread size?

Post by Tubajug »

Do any of you techs know off-hand what the thread size is on the screws that hold the valve section on? I've got one with some heads that are starting to strip. I see someone has replaced a few already with what look like "off the rack" screws from a hardware store. Anybody know the thread size off-hand so I can pick up some replacements? Thanks!

Those brace screws should be 3 x .5mm. You can probably pick them up at Ace Hardware. Buy brass or stainless steel ones.

I've found #4-40 threads substituted. Close, but not correct.

Pick up one 3 x .5mm screw and if it doesn't fit well... someone has probably used a #4-40 screw.

The body diameter of these two screws are within a few thousanths.

Thanks Dan! I'll see what I can find! That's exactly what I needed to know.
