Verdi Requiem (Again!)

So I have the good fortune to be playing the Requiem, and am counting a butt load of rests, at this very moment! In comparing my part to the bass trombone's, I am convinced that it is an ophicleide part. It never goes below a B natural even though there are many places that it should!

I am even playing an octave HIGHER than the bass trombone in spots!

What say Ye?

Take the BAT to spite Verdi. Play everything an octave down. Hork in celebration afterwards.

It's an ophicleide part, but cimbasso matches best with what the other brass are doing.

The score says so, as does Wiki, and this DMA dissertation as well.
