Adams 6/4 CC

Has anyone played one (or more) of the new Adams 6/4 CC? If you have, could you please give your review? (Intonation, sound/tone quality, response, clarity, etc.)

I played all their tubas at Frankfurt. I didn't notice the pitch problems that Bloke was worried about on this horn. However, the low end was not that easy to steer. Low G was kind of a pain. Their F tubas were wonderful but none of the CC tubas really rang my bell.

...and yeah, the "low G syndrome" is a very common problem with 6/4-sized ones. Folks never seem to make the connection that it's the same problem as the F tuba "low C syndrome".

I have made that connection, but it seems weird to me that most Bb's, and even Eb's, that I have played don't seem to be afflicted with the same 4th valve malady!

Anyone have pictures of this beast? I know that their other models are that of the hirsbrunner variety. Is this a HB50 clone?

If memory serves me correctly, there's a couple pictures on another thread (don't recall which one). From what I understand they are a HB-50 clone.

Bloke, I'm not sure I'm following everything you're saying. I feel the low C problem on my Firebird, but don't have the low G thing on my 186 CC. Would you be so kind as to expand on the "trombone" part of your post?
