I wanted red! And, if my parents had only bought me PF Flyers, I am sure I could have leaped tall buildings in a single bound. I can't imagine what physical damage I would have suffered if I had asked for a $300 pair of [insert name of highly paid athlete who gets his shoes free]. As it was, I only suffered psychological damaged from not getting shoes that would have given me superhuman abilities.
