I am a grade 11 student in high school and our school actually has one (that I play and kinda liked).

I play bass trombone in a local orchestra, and having my one would be nice. I play tuba originally (and still do) and getting a bass trombone isn't a big concern (and I don't have any money at all), but if I could sell it on eBay or something, that'll be great.

TL;DR is it worth $350 (or less with negotiations)?

One last thing, the seller is somewhat far away, and I might not get many chances for to look at it.

Hi - pretty sure that it's a Conn 50H

It is a Conn 50H.It is marketed as a beginner Bass Trombone but it's not really a bass trombone like a 62H. It does have an 8 1/2 inch bell like an 88H but it has a much smaller bore than even a large tenor like an 88H. I don't think you will find that it plays anything like the 88H you are accustomed to.

If you are looking for a really cheap 88H don't neglect the Blessing b88. It is a direct copy. Not quite the equal to the early Conns, particularly on the workmanship side, but probably plays as well as a later model Conn. You can usually find a decent one for about half the cost of a used Conn.

+1. The Conn 8H is a straight tenor trombone and 88H has an F attachment. They are quite equal to the Blessing B8 and B88. The slides assemblies will even interchange. From a repair perspective... the individual inner and outer slides tubes will not.

A Conn slide on a Blessing bell section is a good combination.
