If you know how to work it, yes to all the above!

Re: Helleberg questions.
I have a regular helleberg and a 7b, and they're both good mouthpieces. The basic Helleberg gives a little bigger sound.

Re: Helleberg questions.
Great Mouthpiece, used to be my "everything" mouthpiece before I got my 188 and started experimenting, etc. Keep it in good shape, and it should be good for all your needs. Well maybe not Bydlo...

Re: Helleberg questions.
The Helleberg design is one of the standard all-around mouthpieces for BBb/CC tuba playing because it can do just about everything you may want to do from now until you graduate college.GhostlyBoy08 wrote:When i say loud i mean will i be able to make a lot of volume on it?
I played one all the way through college bands (marching and concert) at NC State University. I never had to worry about my mouthpiece limiting my playing whether I was on a football field playing FFF or covering the string bass cues at pp during a clarinet solo.
The only downside - Either it fits your face or it doesn't. I think that's why they make it in 2 different sizes.

In all it's a good mouthpiece, but I would only use it for American horns. Also, make sure that you aren't just using a big mouthpiece to cover up embochure problems. I've seen it happen before.
