Any 1291 CC tubas in Manhattan

Are there any Miraphone 1291 CC tubas in Manhattan that I might be able to test out? I owned a great one about 4 years ago, sold it and bought great horns since then, but I kind of miss the "automatic-ness" of the 1291. I don't have time for a train ride down ride to Dillon's right now, which is why I'm asking such a specific question.

Thanks!

My 188 is an amazing tuba, but for my needs, I am starting to think back to my 1291, and that it might have been an ideal tuba for me.

Dunno of any 1291's in the Big Apple . . . but, if you'll forgive a slight hijack of your thread, I'm curious about what got you to sell your original 1291 in the first place . . .

If I were you I would check all the local Craigslists, as that is probably a different group of tuba sellers from those here.

The biggest reason I sold it was because I bought my Marzan tuba, and had no need for both tubas at the same time. The Marzan had a more interesting sound quality, but physically it was a mismatch for me. I think I had my 1291 for about 4 years, so I know and remember well what I liked and didn't like about it. I probably should have experimented more with mouthpieces though, I kind of just liked the Baer MMVI enough that I never experimented.
