Miraphone Bruckner leadpipe question
What size is the leadpipe on the Miraphone Bruckner? Is it the same size as the 1291 or the 1292? Or something totally different?

Re: Miraphone Bruckner leadpipe question
No disrespect to your original question, but given the VERY large difference between a piston and rotor valve block (length, diameter, response, etc) I don't think an accurate comparison could be made IE this has a smaller leadpipe so it must play like a 1292; this has a larger leadpipe so it must play like a 1291.

Re: Miraphone Bruckner leadpipe question
Fair enough... I guess the question is more if the response and control of the Bruckner is more like the 1291 (really wide slots) or the 1292 (more focused slots). I had a 1291 for many years, and made the change to the 1292 leadpipe. The difference was very clear to me after playing the 1291 for so long, and I really liked the improvement of the 1292 pipe's response.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I understand the premise of it. Having switched to a 1292 lead pipe on my 1291, I found the same improvement with my 1291. I guess the best way to find out the answer to your question would be to contact Miraphone directly.bort wrote:Fair enough... Re: Miraphone Bruckner leadpipe question
Glad you had the same results, big difference, huh?
Oddly enough, the last time I tried a 1291 and 1292 side by side, I liked that particular (stock) 1291 more than that particular 1292. Always have to try before you buy!
