Looking for a Tuba Teacher in Portland, OR

Hi,
I am interested in finding a tuba teacher in the Portland Oregon area. I have not had any lessons since high school (about 25 years ago) and only got back into playing a few years ago (e.g., the occasional jam session with family/friends and Tuba Christmas). So, I am obviously looking for a teacher that is available to work with someone who has taken some time off after playing up to the the high school level. Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations?
Thanks,
-JP

You could start by contacting JáTtik Clark,
https://www.orsymphony.org/orchestra/mm/0708/clark.aspx, with the Oregon Symphony.
Even if he is not willing or you can't afford him, I'll bet he can steer you to a good teacher.
While, Eugene and the University of Oregon, is really too far to drive for a lesson, you should be attending some of the tuba-related event. Michael Grose,
http://www.tubapeople.com/, does a terrific job of scheduling events. I will drive down from Seattle to attend them.

Hey JP,
If you're interested, I live in the Portland area on the weekends with my fiancé. I'm a doctoral student with Mr. Grose at the University of Oregon and have also studied with Ben Pierce and David Zerkel. I'm patient and have a variety of students at different stages of their development. Feel free to call or email if you'd like to work with me.
Best,

I will second Mark's recommendation to contact JáTtik Clark. He is a fine musician and a gentleman. As your local symphony player he should be able to make an excellent recommendation on who to study with.
