Dillon's Custom Mouthpiece Work--Vladimir Fridman

Post by Tom »

About a month ago I sent out two of my tuba mouthpieces out to Dillon Music to have Vladimir Fridman (their custom mouthpiece guy formally of Giardinelli's and Callet) replace the American shanks with the larger European size. Not long ago I received a package via UPS that contained that finished product.

 I couldn't be more pleased with the way the alterations turned out! The worksmanship is first rate, and the new plating is flawless. The machining looks absolutely original, and care was taken to ensure that the backbore, throat, taper, etc., retained their factory dimensions.

I would highly recommend them for custom mouthpieces and alterations as well as replating. :D

I agree they do good work on mouthpieces out there. My old beat up tarnished Conn2 came back so smooth I got to like it. :)
