Quick question -- I saw this on the TubaChristmas Web site for the NYC event:

NEW YORK CITY - 40TH ANNIVERSARY-HOLIDAYTUBAS

What is "Holidaytubas"?

It could be that there will be a select smaller ensemble playing some of the arrangements that the Tuba Santas used to play. One year, Harvey sang, Santa Wants A Tuba For Christmas, while I played the bass line. Maybe, it's an arrangement of that tune.

Holidaytubas is meant to be more inclusive of all faiths celebrating this time of year, I assume.

That's exactly what I am afraid of, and hope isn't true. I'm really hoping Bill's post is true instead.

When asked, why don't you play music for the other holidays celebrated this time of year (or, something to that effect), Harvey would always say because this is a Tubachristmas concert!
