Came across a used Miraphone 188 CC in really good shape the other day. Can someone tell me what a realistic price is on one of these?
It is laquer with some nickel-silver trim, although it has no bell wreath.
Thanks in advance.

Depends on the condition. I sold a 188 for a friend for $3,800. But it had lots of dents here and there. I have recently checked out another 188 and it also has many dents, and according to the owner, the dents "do not effect playability" the owner was willing to sell it for $3,200 or so.
I wouldn't pay more than $4,000- 4,500 for a used 188. That is if the tuba is in good condition.
I sold my S186-5U (with case and gig bag) for $4,700 and it was in almost new condition.
