You can just play them from the horn parts with some transposing. I played Mozart 2 on a recital. You just have to make believe it is bass clef, add three flats and take it down a step. You will have to figure out the accidentals too. I just used B flat fingerings on my CC tuba to handle the transposition. It takes a little getting used to but once you work it out it is pretty simple. It makes so my wife and I can play horn duets pretty easily.

Here they are, all written out in bass clef, along with other good classical solos. This is a buried treasure of material. Piano parts are available on imslp.

hi all,

somebody also played or is planning to play Strauss 2 on tuba ?

please do not forget the horn concertos from Franz Strauss (eg Nocturno), Robert Schumann (eg Adagio and Allegro), Saint Saens (eg Morceau de Concert) etc (just scan the imslp for others) which are wonderfull pieces and could perhaps also be played on tuba (F, Es, B, C) and if played alone could also be taken as written pretending eg this would be bass clef etc etc. Any transcription woild also be a good exercise and straight forward.

regards
