Help dating some King 2350 Sousas
I am trying to determine the manufacture date of some King 2350 sousas that I have at my school. They have serial numbers in the 313000 and 319000 range. They have (had) a orange-bronzish lacquer finish, not a bright yellow. I did some simple research online, and saw that these serials appear to be early 1950s, but I know that with the whole King-Conn-Selmer mergers, etc., that sometimes serials may 'restart' or be duplicated. Is it possible these were made in the 80's, or are these most likely early 50's era horns? Any help would be most appreciated! Thanks.

Yup. Gotta just LOVE that 'Eastlake Orange' lacquer. If you ever plan to strip these horns for refinishing... just plan on having it professionally done.bloke wrote:... yes...probably around 1951 - 1952 or so....
