King 2341-2341W, Is There a Difference

Hello Is there a difference between a King 2341BBbb Tuba and a 2341 W-BBbb? I was on the King(Conn- Selmer) Website and noticed 2 different windows for the Tuba model(s). All the specs were the same, bore, bell size, number of valves. Is a 2341 W normally marked with a W after the model number? The pics looked identical to me. The site stated( if I understood it correctly) the 2341 was the same as a 2341W but without the case. Really????? If there is a difference, can someone please post or get back to me. Thanks and Happpy Holidays, John McKevitt

Yep, that's the ONLY difference.
I concur. The 'W' simply means WITH case.

And the Elephant said "I thought it meant "Working version" meaning that the valve guide slots were machined properly." Oh were that but true....
Still, I really like mine especially after having the springs replaced with Yamaha springs, the valve guides with Meinl Weston nylon valve guide, going to a thicker valve oil, Hetman's #3 and adding a Blokepiece Symphony euro shank. The W does come with a decent hard case though.

I had nothing but trouble with valve number one from the get go with my 2341.

No, it's one of the Conn 5xJ's.
