What is involved in replating a tuba?

Ok. So i might have found the old horn of my dreams and while it is innear perfect playing condition, i believe it has been stripped of its lacquer.

The bell had been silver plated but thats been removed already.

Since the horn dosent need a mechanical resto, id like to consider having it silverplated.

I know nothing of brass instrument restoration, but any ideas as to the process and guestimated cost fir a 4/4 tuba?

thanks - -

actually - my plan is to replete a York, and i'd want it satin - which i believe is sandblasted - so i suspect minor imperfections wouldn't be as visible as a spankin new shiny finish - but i certainly wouldn't want a 1/2-*** job :D everything I do is full-*** :D lol jk

thanks though

Aaaron
