Two? Same thing I chose 20 years ago: Besson Eb Imperial and Alex 164.

Mouthpieces would be Miraphone C4 (TU23) and Alexander "#78" which I own now.

I wish I had a modern short-bell King 2341 when I was in high school in the late 50s and in college in the early 60s. The Doug Elliot mouthpiece that I now use would have been all I needed, although the Conn Geib that I did have back then was also pretty nice.

One of Dick Barth's creations might also have made me very happy if they had been around back then.

Miraphone 1281 F, Miraphone 1291 Bb. Whatever mp's, Bach 12 and 18 probably; likely could save on the time machine fare and just buy the Bach's there.

Eh, not to get too chummy, but that'd be Blokepieces Symphony and Solo.
Tubas, maybe something like the Petruschka and the Thor.

I would take one of my home-made 4/4 CCs with the Laskey 30H and either my Yamaha YFB 621 or a Petruska F with the Baer F G&W mouthpiece.

I'd take a yamaha 321- with glitter gold kellyberg - and a jinbao f - with a kelly glow in the dark something - back in time.

Thor
Kanstul 80

I would take the 2 tubas I have for sale here (3450 & J844) and try and sell them back in the 60's, as I'm not getting many offers lately this year. Just being piston CC tubas would make them a big hit in the 60's.

Maybe a Yorkbrunner CC and some sort of large Meinl Weston F tuba or maybe a PT F tuba, don't know which mouthpieces though.

If I had access to a time machine, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be worried about which kind of tuba to bring along, I'd be bringing some winning lottery numbers though, sports stats etc. :D

I need 3 instruments but still only 2 mouthpieces:

Nirschl York Copy

Willson 3400S Eb

MW Cimbasso Eb

Laskey 30H

Laskey 30F

Of particular interest would be the cimbasso and the Willson. Neither of those instruments were around back then, the cimbassi of that day were nothing like they are today. Even as late as 1980, there was no Eb tubas of the quality of the Willson unless you went with a compensator. These could cover just about all the bases.
