Mr Jacobs did own a Holton 345 BB flat at one time.

I seem to recall reading in his biography that Holton sponsored the Chicago Brass Quintet and he played the Holton with the group as a condition of the sponsorship. It wasn't because he wanted a different horn that he chose to play the Holton.

Was the Holton not sold to Keating Johnson? I can't clearly recall but I think I remember him mentioning it. Where it is now?, I have no idea. It was a fine BBb example of the 345.
