Hmmm......Might keep that old receiver on the conn then.

What is the exit diameter (outher) on an old brit. rec. compared to Am.?

Do a recording of yourselves, and you'll (often) experience that the difference is more 'feel' than 'hear'
If it's close to 'feel' only, I'd bet the audience wouldn't her the difference and would put their money on
the one you preformed and felt best on :)
