I was wondering who has tried the Mike Finn 3 or 3h. And what's your opinion of it ?

I was able to play a MF 3 and 3B on my Getzen G-50 this past weekend. I didn't try the 3H because I feel like my endurance suffers with a flatter/sharper rim.
The 3 and 3B were very comfortable to play on and I didn't notice any issues with articulation. Each note spoke when I told it to regardless of octave or volume (as quiet as I could play anyway). I thought the tone I got from these was very warm and smooth and only got a little edgy at full blow. The 3 was harder to get the amount of edge I could with the 3B (YMMV), but I liked my sound overall with the 3B better. I think if I practiced with the 3B I could avoid the edge at max volume if I wanted to.
The shanks on the ones I tried were just a little larger than my current American shank mouthpiece and I thought it worked quite well. I also think the satin silver with the gold rim and cup interior are absolutely beautiful. Quality mouthpieces that produce a quality sound.
FWIW: I tend to like the Geib style mouthpieces like the Dillon G2, and the Stofer Geib and I personally liked the MF-3B very much with the MF-3 a very close second.

I've been using a MF3 for years on 3+1 BBb's over here. Not found anything better for me yet, and I've tried all sorts and still do.

I found these mouthpiece inner diameter specs on:
http://www.dwerden.com/Mouthpieces/tuba.cfm" target="_blank
(Largest listed) Bruno Tilz 231-B5 35.00mm / 1.378"
Joseph Klier T1-AA 34.00mm / 1.339"
Curry 132D 33.50mm / 1.319"
G&W Bayamo 33.50mm / 1.319"
Bach 7 33.25 / 1.309"
Bach 18 32.10mm / 1.264"
(Smallest listed) Bruno Tilz 230-A1 29.00 / 1.142"
Whereas the Mike Finn is spec'd at:
MF3 33.00mm / 1.299" (on his website and the above mentioned spec sheet)
My Blokepiece rim is marked as 33.2mm
If I remember correctly, my Dillon G2 was something like 32.75mm
Lee Stofer describes his Stofer Geib as having "a 33mm cup opening" "moderately large cup opening" on his website.
http://tubameister.com/accessories/" target="_blank
I found the spec sheet very useful in my recent mouthpiece hunt. It appears to me that the MF 3 is on the larger side of average, but not the largest by any means. I think the heavy weight design of the cup exterior may give a little towards looking huge.
(If it's bad form to use this info and link to the sources, let me know and I'll delete this post.)

The MF3B is my 'everyday' mouthpiece. It is very comfortable even for extended periods of play.
I don't have a clue how well it plays 'cause I ain't that good!
When I want to be REALLY annoying.... I use the Dr. Young!

I don't recall mentioning ANYTHING about the Dr. Young mouthpiece & in fact, it's not even a normal, everyday mouthpiece, that people actually use........The Dr. Young model is actually more of a novelty mouthpiece
I never said it was the "largest mouthpiece ever made"........just that is was HUGE
And I doubt anyone with half a brain would dispute this fact

Won't dispute, but it doesn't FEEL huge to me, even compared to some that are slightly smaller. For me, it was the "comfiest" mouthpiece I've played, so I stuck with it and can't seem to pry myself away....

I own a MF3-H. I bought it because I felt it helped me beef up my sound with my Miraphone 186-CC. A few years ago I bought a Rudy Meinl 5/4. After that purchase I decided that when I needed more sound, I should probably play the Rudy. I have since switched to a Blokepiece to use, with the MF going to my shelf. I prefer the H, simply because I prefer a flat rim, with a sharp edge.
It is an excellent mouthpiece.

Andy, that is something I'll agree with you 100% on

Yes, you never said anything regarding it as the largest, but I also never claimed the Dr. Young mouthpiece (especially the newer model) was an "everyday mouthpiece", just that the MF3 is not larger than the Dr. Young. So take a deep breath and calm yourself down, because it appears the you brain isn't working too well today...

Ian, apology-non-apology accepted!
And I also apologize to you for reading a bit too much into your reply & going off like that.
It was before coffee, so the brain most likely wasn't hittin' on all 8 cylinders yet.
