Euph hard case questions

Post by Alex F »

1. Does Yamaha make its own hard cases for its pro compensating euphs? The web-site makes references to certain cases but has no pics or specs? Who would know and where can these be bought?

2. Will the MTS euph case fit a compensating euph? I do know, for example that WWBW sells its MW551 with an MTS case but don't know if its the stock case or one made special for them.

3. Can anyone describe an MTS euph case. there are no real pictures or specs out there, even on the MTS site.

Thanks

I just bought an MTS case for a Yamaha YEP-642.

It fits fine, and is a good case. My only complaint is that the case is a little heavier than it really needs to be, but it is a good case.

The yamaha case, if available would be a more customized fit, but undoubtedly much more expensive.

Yamaha does indeed make cases for their compensating euphoniums. They are adequate, nothing fancy.
