A friend may decide to part with this double-bell euphonium, but the brand name cannot be read because of some ancient repair work. Can anyone tell what make it is?

My guess: a Buescher.

Well... two Bueschers I have owned have had 'straight in' leadpipes as in the second image. I also had a York with the main slide in the leadpipe but it was a top-action.

Just judging from the bell-screw flanges... I think this one is probably a Conn.

Looks to me like a Conn 74I (low pitch) or 75I (high and low pitch) Double Bell New Wonder Small Bore Bell Up Baritone (4 valve)
