I have heard a couple for euphonium models with beadless bells and really like the clarity and articulate sound. I think the most recent was a Sterling. I played a Hirsbrunner several years ago with a beadless bell and initially didn't like it. I probably should have bought it.

Has anyone had a tuba with a beadless bell? Built that way or modified? Tuba builders and repair craftsmen please weigh in on this.
