Just a guess, but it might be Herman Conrad's son? I remember hearing at some point he recorded for Victor in the 1920's.
In any event, he looks like the same chap in this photo from the late teens edition of the Victor book, "What We Hear in Music".

Hmm. The Victor Brass Quartet generally used whomever was playing bass trombone or tuba in the Philadelphia Orchestra, (this according to Herbert L. Clarke). There was a trombone/tuba player named George Frey who played there prior to Philip Donatelli. Perhaps this is him.

Huh? Where did that come from? I guess the bugler Kristharission doesn't understand the rules or doesn't care?
