Is anyone besides "Bill" using a 182 F in quintet? How about other 3/4 horns in whatever key? I have used a YCB-621.

I had a Cerveny 653 F tuba for a few years. Didn't do any quintet playing, but that was just a lack of opportunity. I'm sure it would have worked just fine, as would most F tubas. Wish I could be more helpful.
If you're talking about 3/4 tubas of any key for quintet, the gold standard is the Miraphone 184 CC.

Yes, the 184 is a gem.

I have used a Conn stencil 4v piston Eb, a turn of the century 4v rotary German BBb(Ernst David), a Miraphone 184 BBb, a Yamaha 621 BBb, and an Olds O-99. The rest of the quintet and I both prefer the Olds. They say it's easier to match color and a better foundation to tune to. I just like the sound, response and intonation myself.
