According to my sources...

Indiana Uni won the tuba quartet section, and Tim Royster (Indiana Uni) won the mock orchestra tuba.

CONGRATULATIONS to all the competition applicants! I hope that you all had a great experience, and were especially enlightened by the unique interactive set up with REAL adjudication panels (i.e. panels made up of NON-orchestral tubists for the mock tuba audition and real-DC military band guys for the mock euph. audition). Additionally, the quartets all performed at a VERY high level! Congrats.

Kudos to Mike and the Normal tubaeuphers for putting together such a classy, well-organized and well-paced event.
It was relaxed and informal,( but with plenty of great music) and I feel, representative of the high level of tuba and euphonium playing happening in the Midwest Region. I was especially impressed with how friendly, relaxed and accomodating all the folks at ISU are. Great job.
